Saundra Dickinson,
LPC, LMFT, NCCSaundra
is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist, and a National Certified Counselor in private practice in
the Humble/Kingwood area at ALTERNATIVES FOR FAMILY CRISIS. She
specializes in family therapy,
couples therapy, and
individual work
in the relationship arena. As well as being a Certified IMAGO
Relationship Therapist and Workshop Presenter for both couples and
individuals, Saundra has served on the Board of
IMAGO RELATIONSHIPS
INTERNATIONAL. She is a Certified
EMDR Therapist,
Certified Presenter for Developing Capable People, workshop creator
of the popular "Parenting That Works" workshop, Clinical Member of the American
Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and an Approved
Supervisor for LCP's in Texas.
"Parenting That Works" is
Saundra's newest challenge for parents and anyone who keeps and/or
works with kids, from newborn babies through teens. It is a course
designed around the personal discovery necessary for any of us to be
healthy in our relationships, especially parenting. Her new book
about relationships, Love That Works: The 12 Foundation Stones
is now available in all book stores and online.
Saundra has lived with her
family in this area for the past 29 years. She is actively involved
in the community, speaking to audiences throughout the year on love
relationships, parenting, and healthy life-management skills.

Couples, Families, and Groups.
JIM WHITLEY, Ed.D is
in our office once every week primarily to do testing. Dr. Whitley
and his wife are both therapists who live in the Woodlands. I have
known and worked with Dr. Whitley in some capacity since 1989, when
we both worked at the same hospital. It is a benefit to have his
expertise in Clinical Psychology. He staffs regularly with Kristi
and me on cases.
Kristi Brown, MA, LMFT
- A, Certified Mediator/Arbitrator has worked in the Humble/Kingwood area for over 10 years
specializing in helping children, adolescents, and families with
difficulties of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-esteem,
coping skills, goal setting, parent conflict, peer pressure, anger
management, ADD/ADHD, divorce and child custody issues. Kristi has
also conducted groups for teenagers in this area. Kristi has
exceptional strengths and wisdom in facilitating families in
conflict while honoring their personal space as unique individuals.
NANETTE LYNCH, RN
returns phone calls, schedules Saundra’s appointments, and does all
that is necessary to keep our machine finely tuned, so that it runs
smoothly with the fewest of errors. Nanette is a Registered Nurse
who has had had 13 years experience in ICU. She has lived here in
the Kingwood area for the past 12 years with her husband and two
young daughters. She continues working as a nurse through Home
Health on a part-time basis, so that she can be an available mom and
wife, and can thankfully take care of a very vital part of the
ALTERNATIVES practice.
